Our surname is Sabuncu, which means "soapmaker" and our company name is Aydınlı®, which means "Aydın resident" in Turkish. Aydın, located in the Southern Aegean Region of Turkey, is the hub city and best source of one of the best quality olive oils in the world.
If there’s one thing you should know about us, it’s this: we believe that the best product is that have the best ingredients. And the most important ingredient of all is passion. We know from experience that the demand for high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil is directly proportional to the experience and understanding of the end user. We are convinced that both producers and consumers will dramatically change their practices and habits when the facts concerning nutrition, quality, and durability are clearly understood.
We believe that accurate information and first hand experience are the keys to a better understanding. Therefore, our goal is to change the way consumers understand and consume Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which we also call as the Golden Elixir.
About Us
Founded with pride in Aydın, Turkey, in 1953, Aydınlı® is one of the oldest continuously operating olive oil companies in Turkey.
Our firm was established in 1945, in Aydın, as a soapmaker company. Afterwards, the olive oil production was started by our founder, and our father, dear departed Mehmet Sabuncu, a.k.a "Rooster Memet".
From the beginning to the year 1985, we produced our oils via the traditional olive press method. In 1985, we renovated our facility and we started to operate by using the modern method; decanter centrifugation. In other words, we use only the olive fruit of the highest quality and never use chemicals or heat treatments of any kind. That’s the only way we can ensure the full, fresh, rich flavor of our pure Extra Virgin Olive Oils year after year.
